WORKSHEET:
Design worksheets in which three words are printed under each picture. The student will (based upon his knowledge of short vowels)choose the correct spelling.

WORKSHEET:
Design worksheets in which a picture is presented accompanied by the word with the short vowel missing. The student must supply the missing vowel.

HOLD 'EM HIGH:
The teacher will secure a collection of appopriate pictures with short vowels. As the teacher holds up and says the name of each picture, the students will hold up a card with the corresponding short vowel. (These vowel cards can be made by the children beforehand)

BAG IT:
Arrange 5 bags,each of which is labelled with a short vowel. The student is to place a picture into the bag with the correct short vowel sound.
