Syllables


Students will be able to: 
Divide words into syllables.
 
ACTIVITY
1. 	
Design worksheets in which a word is given along with three possible divisions. The student must select the correct division.
2. 	
Design worksheets in which a word is given and divided into syllables.  The student must decide if the division is true or false.
3. 	
Have students write words on cards.  Students should then divide the word into syllables by making a zigzag cut in the card.  Have the students then exchange their cards with those of other students, trying to find and join the two matching syllables.
