Math One: Find the Length

Learning Outcomes

Students will be expected to:

1. Measure the lengths of objects using the centimeter as the standard unit.

Activity

Have the children use a ball of string to show the length of newborn whales, a herring, a krill and other sea creatures. The teacher will need to record the name and size of each sea creature on the board, as a quick reference for the children.
New born killer whale is _____ cm long.
