Math One: Make a Pattern

Learning Outcomes

Students will be expected to:

1. Recognize, copy, extend and create patterns.

Activity

Have the students use the pattern blocks and pretend they are making a new floor for a captain’s cabin aboard the HMS Bottlenose. Students could work in pairs to begin a pattern which another pair could extend or copy.
